Shipping Policy

1. General Information
You are buying items from an individual - not a retail outlet or a dealer. Every listing not labeled with a quantity above one (1) is a 'one-off' item, and since I do not 'stock' products for sale, there is no such thing as a back-ordered item. Items in multiple quantities and labeled as "New"will only be available in the quantity listed, and will not be replaced for further sales once they are sold. There is no extended wait times in prepping items for shipment, but some items may require extra handling time to accommodate if they're larger or delicate, or oversized or oddly shaped items. I will only package items for delivery as they are sold, so I can't push them out the door immediately, once your payment is verified. I should usually have items boxed and labeled for the appropriate carrier within one to three (1-3) days at most.

I don't and won't offer any chemicals, film stock, or volatile batteries for sale; or any other items where I'm required to ship via ground-based transportation and follow regulated material packaging/labeling and handling rules. I may include - either intentionally, or by mistake - non-volatile Silver Oxide or Alkaline batteries that I've already installed. Essentially this means that you are not restricted in your shipping choices due to the contents of your package - but would still be restricted by excessive weight and/or size or shape. If a specific shipping method is unavailable, it will likely be due to that item's irregularities.

It's highly unlikely but it's not possible to anticipate every shipping requirement or limitation for every item. I reserve the right to alter your choice of carrier if a conflict or limitation becomes evident after you've committed to a purchase but prior to shipping your item(s). If an alteration is available and it requires an increase in shipping cost where the cost difference is substantial, you'll be contacted and asked to accept the change of carrier and provide payment for additional charges. If this occurs, you may choose to cancel your commitment to purchase, and any/all payments made by you will be returned via PayPal's accepted policies for order cancellations. No other reimbursement, credit or 'on account' options would be available under these circumstances.

NOTE: I will only use the registered address you have on file with PayPal - or - PayPal's card-approved address as your ship-to address. This is the only verified address I will ship to, and I will not accept any requests to change your ship-to address at any time during the order or shipping process. If you need to have a different address used for delivery, you will need to change your registered PayPal address BEFORE you commit to any purchase, or change your bank's credit/debit card approved address if you don't have a PayPal account. I can not, and will not attempt to, change your registered/approved PayPal shipping address, and I will not accept responsibility for delivery issues or errors or any additional costs in the event that the address on file with or through PayPal is not the correct address for you to receive your shipments.

2. Delivery Location
Items offered on this site are only located in Grand Rapids, Michigan; and are only available for sale and delivery to addresses in the USA. Any sales or shipments committed to or bound for anywhere outside of the US are not available at this time - and will be canceled when processed. Items listed for sale may not all be stored at the same physical locations, but regardless of an item's location, no local pickup or personal delivery will be available under any circumstances. This is more than a convenience option for either of us as buyer or seller, and becomes a requirement to provide accountability and proof of delivery if there's a need for damage or insured delivery claims or any other type of liability or payment issues as a result of the sale and/or the transport and handling/shipping of items. Absolutely no exceptions will be made to accommodate local pickup or personal deliveries.

3. Delivery Time | Tracking
An estimated delivery time will be provided to you once your purchase is processed and your payment is verified. Delivery times are estimates provided by an outside carrier and commence from the actual date of shipping, rather than the date of purchase. Delivery times are to be used as a guide only and are subject to the acceptance and approval of your purchase and the acceptance of your package(s) by their carrier(s). You will be notified by email once your package has shipped, and you will receive your tracking information at that time. Tracking information will also be available from within your Account Information page via this site.

Unless there are exceptional circumstances, I'll make every effort to ship your items within three (3) business days of the date of your purchase and verified payment. Business days, means Monday to Friday, and does not include holidays. If for any reason I'm unable to process your item(s) (i.e., I'm on vacation or attending a workshop), you will be notified prior to the final processing of your payment and packaging for shipment. Whenever possible, this information will also appear as a notice to any/all site visitors and buyers when browsing the for-sale listings on this site, and before committing to a purchase here.

The date of delivery may vary due to carrier shipping practices, your delivery location, method of delivery, and the items purchased. Packages may also be delivered in separate shipments. Deliveries may be delayed by the carrier due to weather, equipment failure, or any other unforeseeable delay, so I can not, and will not, accept the responsibility for extended shipment times or missed delivery schedules. These are solely the responsibility of the carrier once they have your package(s) in-hand.

4. Delivery Instructions
If you require any special instructions to be provided to your carrier, this information needs to be included as additional purchase information at the time of payment. If I need to relay any details to the carrier, please make sure it's communicated to me prior to packaging. Instructions may need to be submitted before label printing and/or carrier acceptance as a carrier's requirement, so it's vital the information is available beforehand. I will not be responsible for any issue or additional cost that arises when special instructions are not provided for inclusion at the required time, or are incomplete or incorrect.

5. Shipping Costs and Additional Fees
Shipping costs are based on the weight of your item(s) and/or the shipping dimensions, and/or the delivery method. To find out how much your shipped items will cost, you can add the items you would like to purchase into the cart, and proceed to the initial checkout page to view the totals - or - you can approximate the shipping costs for individual items on their listing page. Once you're at the end of the checkout process, the final shipping charges will be calculated and displayed prior to committing to your purchase.

A nominal handling fee is assessed on every outgoing package. At present, the fee is calculated as a flat rate of 1.75% on your combined item totals, with 1.25% as my cost to fully insure your item(s), and the remaining .5% is for incidentals. I reuse whatever packing materials I might have on hand, so this amount reflects that cost savings. This fee helps to defer and offset other costs for labels, tape, specialty packing materials, etcetera. Additional shipping charges may also apply to remote area deliveries, or for large, heavy, or irregular items. These extended costs are beyond my power to control and are assessed by each carrier based on their particular fee structure. I use an outside shipping aggregator to process and provide shipping logistics, so the pricing you'll see, and are charged, will be based on your location along with your delivery and packaging requirements. I don't pad shipping charges for a profit, so you'll be paying those calculated costs as passed to me by any 3rd party shipping system and included within the checkout process. You will be advised of any and all delivery-related charges on the checkout page, so there will be no surprises after you commit to a purchase.

Since the purchase you make through this site is no different than a personal 'face-to-face' and non-commercial sale, I do not collect sales or use taxes, nor do I charge or collect any additional fees or assessments of any kind. As an example... If your state or local authority requires you to pay a use tax on whatever item you purchase here, it is your sole responsibility to be aware that the requirement exists, to report it to the collecting authority, and to make any payment due to them. Anything you might owe past your final price here is beyond the terms of sale for items I sell to you, and I will not be responsible for additional payments owed for taxes, tariffs, assessments or fees of any kind.

I may offer - at my option - to provide free shipping on a selected item or group of items. These items will likewise include the same shipping amenities as all the other items do - so they would still be insured, trackable, and handled by the same carriers, with the same nominal handling charge. All of the same requirements and processing would still apply. The only difference from a standard shipping fee item may be in how long they've been sitting on a shelf or in a box, and I'm more inclined to 'help' them get out the door.

6. Damaged Items in Transport
If there is any damage to the packaged item(s) on delivery, contact me ASAP. Every item sold is insured in it's final package form, regardless of the base coverage values provided by the carrier, or by the shipping classification used to ship it. Additional coverage is automatically added and will boost your damage or loss coverage to the final price paid - up to a maximum of $5000.00. Different carriers have different claims processes and some can be lengthy in getting resolved. Some claims can be made by you, but most claims must be processed by the shipper (i.e., by me), so... please contact me when damages occur and keep EVERYTHING just as you received it.

It's a requirement that you take multiple photos that clearly show your item and package damage to document the claim. Doing the photos immediately after finding the damages increases the odds that the claim won't be denied. No insurance processing will be processed without the supporting evidence these photos provide. If your item's packaging is the only thing damaged then just enjoy your purchase, as no claims can be filed.

NOTE: If an item is ever listed here with a final package price of more than $5000.00, I can not extend that maximum claim limit. Please contact me about providing you with suitable details for the insurance coverage you would be supplying instead of or in addition to what's provided.
